Tartrazine has been overwhelmingly studied by physicians for decades. Initially, the additive only seemed to be linked to limited side effects, mainly allergic reactions such as hives. But over the years research and placebo trials have shown that tartrazine is responsible in some persons for acne, eczema, migraines, blurred vision, asthma, ADHD, hemophilia, autism, thyroid tumors, chromosomal damage, and lupus, according to Dr. Arnold Brenner. Dr. Brenner is also known for linking tartrazine to zinc deficiency in children.[1] |
